Job Overview

We are seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our Sterling, VA team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and system design through development, testing, and deployment. You will work across a broad technology stack including Python, Java, SQL, AWS, and modern web frameworks, contributing to enterprise-grade applications in a collaborative agile environment.

Hours: 40 hours/week, 5 days  |  Salary: $112,466.00/year  |  Travel: Travel within the USA required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system designs.
• Design, develop, and test general-purpose computer application software across the full stack.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring MVC, Spring IOC) and Python (Django, Flask).
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Angular 7.
• Write and optimize queries across relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, and MongoDB.
• Deploy and manage cloud-based services and infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using Jasmine-Karma and other testing frameworks.
• Manage source code and collaborate via version control systems including GitHub, SVN, and Bitbucket.
• Write and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts for automation and deployment tasks.
• Work within enterprise environments including WebLogic, IBM Liberty, and Pega platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile sprint ceremonies.
• Travel within the United States as required for client engagements and project deployments.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or Computer Applications required.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Java for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with web development using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Angular 7.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with at least two of: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, MongoDB.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with application servers such as WebLogic or IBM Liberty.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the USA.
